Grandmaster Vidit Gujrathi, after helping India win its first Chess Olympiad gold, decided not to defend his title at the Vugar Gashimov Memorial Chess Super Tournament in Azerbaijan. Instead, he returned to India for a felicitation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Aravindh Chithambaram will replace him in the tournament.
